New donation centers and partnership with Lorain County Collection Center help Ohio residents keep textiles out of landfills
Solon, Ohio - [DEC. 18, 2023] - Planet Aid, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that pioneered textile reuse, is excited to announce the opening of two, state-of-the-art clothing donation centers in Findlay and Grafton. In addition, Planet Aid has partnered with the Lorain County Collection Center to provide Ohio residents with convenient and responsible ways to donate used textiles. With the addition of the Planet Aid bin to the Collection Center now accepts most recyclable items at the one-stop, drive-through facility.

Ohio residents are encouraged to donate their used textiles at one of these three, new locations:
- Lorain County Collection Center (540 S. Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035)
- Flag City Station (2540 Tiffin Ave., Findlay, OH 45840)
- Albert's Fresh Market (460 Main St., Grafton, OH 44044)

Environmentally and Socially Responsible Communities
Planet Aid donation centers are the latest innovation in textile reuse and recycling, helping to keep used clothes and shoes out of landfills at no cost to the community. The donation centers’ lighting and 24-hour video monitoring are solar-powered and provide safety and security for donors. They are made from refurbished shipping containers and are designed to be weather and tamper resistant.
The donation center and surrounding area are regularly serviced and cleaned by Planet Aid's experienced team to ensure a welcoming environment and positive experience for all donors.
With more than 25 years of experience, Planet Aid has consistently been a trailblazer in the reuse of clothes and shoes. Since its founding in 1997, the organization has collected over 1.7 billion pounds of used clothes and shoes. The donation centers are the latest effort by Planet Aid to provide cleaner, safer, more efficient and more convenient collection methods in order to generate more funds to support crucial community development programs.
